Featured on WedLuxe: A Garden-Inspired Wedding at Hamswell House

Features & Press

In the depths of spring last year, alongside a talented team of creatives, we produced this heartfelt, garden-inspired wedding inspiration. Hamswell House, a beautiful country house wedding venue in Bath, England, was the perfect venue for our vision.

It was an honour to have had these images featured on WedLuxe earlier this month. Explore the gallery below and learn some more about the creative process behind the project.

The Concept

This project was an opportunity to dive back into the past, and the reason I first fell in love with weddings. For me, celebrations of any kind are a chance to look back and honour the stories of the past, whilst creating new, lifelong memories for the future. So much of what I do stems from my upbringing in the English countryside. I grew up playing in the garden, immersed in nature and surrounded by flowers. For me, this project reflects that wholeheartedly. It is playful, nostalgic and carefree, yet intentional and effortlessly luxurious.

Our Design Process

We used lilac as the starting point for the design, inspired by a lilac tree that stood proudly in my grandparents’ garden for decades. This wove its way into many intricate details. All For Love London designed a spectacularly abundant floral arch, enhancing the wisteria that climbs up Hamswell House each spring.

The outdoor tablescape, full of colour and playfulness, was set between the water gardens at Hamswell House and endless views of the rolling Bath countryside. For me, design has always meant something more than just visuals. To honour the memory of my grandparents, and their home which served as the inspiration for the project, Kimberley Stone created bespoke yellow bows for each place setting, embroidered with the words “with love” in my late Grandmother’s handwriting. It was a profoundly personal and special addition to the tablescape.

Bridal Fashion

Sally Bean Couture designed two entirely bespoke gowns for our bride. Working from our design concept, Sally sourced the perfect warm lilac hue to match the colours of the flowers. She used finely pleated layers of tulle in the skirt, adding ethereal romance and feminine drama. The expertly crafted corsetry to the bodice was hand stitched with bespoke floral embroidery, emulating the beautiful garden setting. Detachable bardot sleeves added movement and delicacy, coming together to create the most luxurious, couture gown.

For the second look, Sally designed a striking, high-fashion beaded dress with statement sleeves and a flowing silk train. This was paired with delicate, whimsical Bella Belle shoes, to suit our garden surroundings. We finished the look with subtle, timeless makeup and a chic bridal updo with a bespoke scrunchie.

Our incredible team brought this concept to life in the most meaningful way – honouring a legacy, whilst building memories of our own. I’m thrilled to be sharing the images with you today.
