Claudia and James engaged our services to help bring to life their vision for a beautifully styled, marquee wedding in the English countryside. Based in Dorset themselves, it was an obvious choice for the setting of their special day, and we set about bringing their vision to life in an incredible private home. Working in a private residence has an abundance of positives - the main one being the flexibility to create exactly the setting you are dreaming of for your wedding. As an interior designer, Claudia had no difficulty coming up with styling ideas for the wedding, and together we honed in on the vision to create an Italian garden-inspired, black tie soiree in a picturesque garden location.
On this beautiful June day, guests gathered in the sunshine for a heartfelt, outdoor ceremony, before moving through to a hidden walled garden for a champagne and canapé reception. For dining, we installed a traditional pole marquee - using the stunning country house as a backdrop - and guests dined on long banqueting tables dressed with bespoke patterned linen, elegant crystal glassware and gold accents. After dinner, the bar opened for a cocktail hour - our stationer, Charlotte Wilmore, designed a bespoke monogram to adorn the front of the bar, as well as hand painting an intricate cocktail menu. Elsewhere, we set up white metal lounge furniture with bespoke, blue and white patterned cushions, for guests to enjoy the garden surroundings. Following a dress change from the bride, the evening celebrations kicked off, with our soul band ensuring that the dance floor was full all night.
