Real Weddings

It’s been a while since I blogged a real wedding (thanks, Covid!) so this post is LONG overdue. I’ll be sharing a lot more of our recent weddings over the coming months. But, to kick things off, let me introduce Elisha and David, who got married at North Cadbury Court last June.

This will remain a memorable wedding for so many reasons, one of which being it was my first large scale wedding post-pandemic. The pushing back of ‘freedom day’ put a spanner in the works for a restriction-free day, and there were several tense phone calls to establish whether this wedding could even go ahead in June. However, with thanks to their incredible team of suppliers, we were able to work around the restrictions. And with a few tweaks to their original plans, we ensured that Elisha & Dave’s big day went off safely, yet without any compromises.

3-day Wedding Celebrations at North Cadbury Court

If I had to sum up this wedding in a word it would have to be ‘FUN’! Everything, from the brightly coloured styling brief, to the endless entertainment, was packed full of joy. And with an underground casino, late-night arcade games and a surprise fireworks display, it was wonderfully memorable for their guests too.

North Cadbury Court lends itself perfectly to a weekend-long wedding celebration. For Elisha and Dave, we did just that – bookending the wedding day itself with a Friday welcome dinner and a Sunday pool party. So. Much. Fun! Every detail was careful thought through… and the final result? A luxurious Somerset retreat, and a non-stop weekend of experiences for their guests.

For their design elements, we explored a colour palette of orange, pink, blue and purple. Caroline at Fleur Provocateur brought this to life beautifully with an abundance of incredible summer florals and balloon installations. The overall effect was modern, joyful and fun! And this reflected Elisha and Dave’s personalities perfectly.

It’s safe to say that this wonderful wedding is one that I will truly never forget. Elisha & Dave, I am so grateful to have been a part of your special day! It’s a pleasure to now call you friends and I wish you so much love and happiness as you embark on married life together.
